Getting There

With plenty of flight options into Spain you are spoilt for choice. For the closest airports to the region fly into Santander or Bilbao, however many fly to Barcelona and take the stunning drive into the Pyrenees.

Climate

Aragon’s has a typical continental European climate. The temperature range is mainly determined by altitude.

At higher altitudes in the Pyrenees there can be a lot of snow, during the winter months which makes it great for winter activities such as skiing. At lower altitudes the summer temperatures average at around 25C and winter temperatures at around 6C.

Geography

Aragon is a sparsely populated region of untouched wildernesses. Huge mountainous peaks and deep canyons are found across the region.

Spectacular waterfalls and rivers make great swim spots and focal points for walks with the highest peak in the region, Aneto, standing at 3,404m.

There is a wide range of animal and plant life in the region with bird watchers flocking to the region to see eagles and vultures.

The plant life is fairly typical of Spain, with a large variety of trees, bushes and flowers. At higher altitudes plants life dwindles but to the keen eye rare mountains flowers can be found.
