Best time to travel
September to April
Enjoy several unique experiences in and around the city of Reykjavik, before leaving the city behind to explore the rugged landscape of Iceland’s wilderness!
There is no better way to arrive in Iceland than to head to Blue Lagoon. Here you can spend some relaxing time in the natural thermal waters thinking about the trip ahead.
Once you feel fresh and rejuvenated you’ll transfer across to your city hotel in Reykjavik.
Rekjavik Food Walk
With a day in the city to explore why not head out on a Reykjavik Food Walk! With so many restaurants to choose from this tour will certainly help you decide which is best as you sample the local cuisine whilst also taking in the city sights.
When the evening comes you’ll be picked up from your hotel to go out searching for the Aurora!
Explore your new surroundings
Spend another morning exploring the city, perhaps even head out on a whale-watching excursion, and then when it comes to check-out you have the option to have a private transfer to your next accommodation, Hotel Ranga, or look to hire a car.
Once you arrive at Hotel Ranga take the opportunity to kick back and relax with a dip in one of their outdoor jacuzzis. In the evening enjoy a fantastic meal and perhaps a sighting of the Northern Lights!
Evening at the observatory
Today is a day to enjoy at leisure – if you have hired a car then we can assist with pointing you in some exciting directions to explore what is around you.
Without a car? No problem! We can organise for a super jeep excursion to pick you up from your hotel and take you out to explore even further afield, whether that be up on the glaciers or past volcanos or towards the glacial lagoon.
If there is a clear evening it is a perfect chance to head to the observatory and marvel at the night sky.
Take your transfer, or car, back to the airport with some suggested stops along the way.
