Accommodation

Oslo

We have a variety of lovely 4 and 5 star hotels in the beautiful city of Oslo but we highly recommend the stylish waterside hotel, The Thief. Perfect for those who like elegant luxury accommodation with fantastic restaurants, spas and great service! Designed by international and Norwegian designers with hand picked art in every room.

Narvik

The Scandic Hotel is the newest of the hotels in the town and it is nearby to all the shops and restaurants. This 4 star hotel with modern and spacious rooms with stunning views of the surrounding nature is the perfect base for your stay in Narvik. Enjoy some time in the sky bar or on the roof terrace both of which enjoy panoramic views of the fjords and mountains. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, TV, wifi, hairdryer and minibar. If you want a luxury stay then why not swap your night in the hotel for a night in the exclusive Wolf Lodge at Polar Park?

Bjorkliden

Hotel rooms or cosy cabins all with incredible views of the surrounding mountains! This is the perfect place to marvel at the midnight sun as it shines 24 hours a day. The restaurant serves delicious local cuisine and activities all start from the hotel. If you are after extra luxury then we suggest upgrading to the special Solhyllan log chalet’s with private outdoor hot tubs and deluxe interiors.

ICEHOTEL 365

A new concept for Summer 2017! ICEHOTEL 365 offers ice rooms during the summer. Each room is individually designed by selected artists. Choose to stay in deluxe suites with en-suite bathrooms or art suites with shared facilities. All will offer you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Treehotel

The Treehotel offers 7 rooms suspended high in the trees overlooking the forest. Choose to stay in the same room or change for your second night! We recommend a change as it is so hard to pick a room! The Treehotel also offers a small tree spa and a great restaurant with Lappish delicacies on the menu.

Stockholm

We offer a wide variety of hotels in Stockholm but we highly recommend the central 4 star hotel of Kungstragarden which is perfectly located to reach the old town, shops and water. The hotel was opened in 2014 and has a classic Scandinavian design. The rooms are small but perfectly designed.

Activities

As all of our trips are tailor-made simply tell your travel designer if you would like something specific or just tell them about you and your interests and they will pick the best activities based on their expert knowledge. The below are just a small selection of the activities we can offer. Our top 3 for this trip are Polar Park to kiss the wolves in Narvik, White Water Rafting at the ICEHOTEL and Bear spotting at the Treehotel!

Guided City Tours

Either choose a basic highlights tour or let your travel designer know what you are interested in and they can book a tour with your interests in mind.

Foraging

Learn all about the special herbs and berries in the local areas on a foraging trip with a local guide.

Polar Park

Enjoy wandering through the worlds most northerly animal park to see the bears, lynx, elk, reindeer and other Arctic animals including their most famous residents, the wolves! A fascinating place to explore. If you are over 18 you can even get up close and personal with these incredible animals.

After a safety talk with your guide you will enter the wolf enclosure and enjoy the special 'wolf kiss'.

Hiking

Hiking is on of the most popular activities at this time of year and there are tracks in all the various destinations that can be taken with a guide or independently. The beauty of the midnight sun is that you can hike almost 24 hours a day!

Fishing

Fishing is a popular activity on both the fjords of Narvik or inland in Swedish Lapland. Take a guided fishing trip and see what you can catch!

Fjordcruise

A trip to the fjordside city of Narvik would not be complete without a trip out onto the fjords on a boat. It really shows you a different side of the city and is a great way to relax and unwind!

Sami Focused Activities

The Sami people are the indigenous people of Northern Scandinavia and we have many activities focused on learning more about their traditions and culture.

Sky Station Abisko

The Aurora Sky Station in Abisko near to Bjorkliden is well-known for being one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights but it is also an amazing place to enjoy the midnight sun and take a hike. Depending on what you visit take the cable car to the station and enjoy a delicious Lappish Meal and breath-taking views.

White Water Rafting

White water rafting at the Icehotel is one of the original activities for Summer in the region.
The famous stretch dates back to the 1970s when Jukkasjärvi and Icehotel founder Yngve Bergqvist introduced white water rafting tours in Sweden and Europe.

Paddle Boarding

Try out this very popular activity! Standing on a wide surfboard and using a paddle you slowly slide across the crystal clear Torne River. This is a relaxing way of experiencing the tranquillity of the Swedish wilderness whilst offering a challenging exercise for your balance and upper body muscles.

Cycling

Cycling is a great way to enjoy the surrounding wilderness and environment in a quiet and relaxing way. Take a guided trip or hire your own bikes. If you want a more exhilarating trip maybe mountain biking is more your thing?

Treespa

If you are tired of being active or simply want some time to relax we can include a few hours in the peaceful tree sauna at the Treehotel.
