On this trip, you will sail south of Ilimanaq to Itilliup Ilua. You will be dropped off on the wide sandy, beach and then driven in off-road vehicles such as ATVs through the arctic tundra until we reach the Tasiusaq Fjord system. On the journey you will witness some magical scenery and the fresh, crisp air of the Arctic Circle! This place has been a popular hunting area for thousands of years and your guide will be able to tell you more about the history of the area during the trip. From here, you will board another boat and sail further deep in between the icebergs to the end of the fjord, where the two glaciers and the ice sheet come into view.
You will go ashore, and with a view of the glacier, eat a delicious lunch picnic style. Afterwards; you will hike towards and then onto the enormous ice sheet!
