Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Alta and Arctic Indulgence

Arrive in Alta and meet your private driver for a scenic journey to Sorrisniva Arctic Wilderness Lodge, perched along the Alta River. After checking into your elegant river suite, there’s time to explore the grounds, collect your Arctic gear, or relax in the panoramic lounges. That evening, enjoy a five-course fine dining experience at Maku, showcasing Arctic ingredients and inspired by the shifting seasons.

Day 2

Husky Sledding and Michelin Dining

Today, head into the wilds of the Finnmark plateau for a five-hour guided husky sledding experience. After a full safety briefing, you’ll harness your team of eager huskies and journey across frozen forests and open highland. Midway, enjoy lunch in a traditional mountain hut. After some time to rest back at the lodge, the evening culminates in a remarkable fine dining experience at Trasti and Trine, led by a Michelin-level chef specialising in Arctic cuisine.

Day 3

King Crab, Glacier Views and Snowshoeing

Enjoy a morning king crab experience on the Alta fjord, guided by local fishermen who will share the history and lore of this prized delicacy. Afterwards, indulge in a catch-of-the-day lunch at Sorrisniva. A private transfer then takes you further into the Arctic to Isbreen The Glacier, where panoramic igloo domes await. Meet your hosts and settle into your ensuite suite before heading out after dark on a private evening snowshoe hike, with hot drinks and breathtaking views of the Jøkelfjord valley.

Day 4

Ski Touring and Arctic Calm

Choose between a guided cross-country ski tour or ski touring session through the spectacular Finnmark Alps. Routes are tailored to your fitness and ability, with expert instruction and scenic trails. Return for lunch and a peaceful afternoon—snowshoes are available for further exploration, or simply relax in the lounge or terrace. In the evening, enjoy a three-course dinner made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Day 5

Snowmobiles and Northern Lights by Sea

An exhilarating four-hour snowmobile safari awaits today. After a safety induction, ride into the vast white landscape, winding through hills and valleys with stops for photos and stories. After lunch, enjoy a well-earned soak in the sauna or outdoor jacuzzi. Later, a special finale: a private Northern Lights cruise aboard a heated cabin boat, gliding across the dark fjord in search of the aurora with hot drinks and tales from your captain.

Departure

After a relaxed breakfast and final moments beside the fjord, a private transfer returns you to Alta Airport, bringing your Arctic adventure to a close.
