Your Trip, Your Way

This itinerary is just a starting point—a flavour of what’s possible. Whether you want to tweak the pace, upgrade your hotel, or deepen the culinary immersion, we’ll design your perfect trip from scratch.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Stockholm Arrival and Spa Indulgence

Arrive in Stockholm and enjoy a private transfer to the renowned Grand Hotel, where you’ll check into your spacious Junior Suite. Relax in the Nordic Spa, complete with saunas and cool plunge pools, and take in views of the Royal Palace across the water. After unwinding from your journey, dine at one of the hotel’s exceptional restaurants. Whether you’re drawn to traditional Swedish fare or contemporary gourmet, this is the perfect first taste of what’s to come. Enjoy a restful night in elegant surroundings, ready to explore the capital the next day.

Day 2

Stockholm Culture and Leisure

Wake to breakfast in The Veranda restaurant, where you can watch boats glide by along the waterfront. Then head out to explore the city’s cultural treasures — from the medieval charm of Gamla Stan and the colourful Stortorget square, to world-class museums such as the Vasa and Fotografiska. Whether you’re interested in history, architecture, or café culture, Stockholm delivers. The afternoon and evening are yours to spend at leisure. Perhaps you’ll browse boutiques, enjoy a Swedish fika, or experience fine dining before returning to your suite at the Grand Hotel.

Day 3

Into the Arctic: Logger’s Lodge and Northern Lights

After a private transfer to Stockholm Arlanda, fly north to Luleå (flights not included) where your Arctic escape begins. On arrival, you’ll be driven to Logger’s Lodge — a one-of-a-kind private cabin surrounded by deep forest. This stylish, sustainable lodge is exclusively yours, complete with a central fireplace, spa facilities, and gourmet cuisine. After a chef-prepared dinner, head out on a guided Northern Lights safari. Your guide will lead you to the best viewing spots, with camera gear ready to help capture the magic. Tonight, the Aurora may dance directly above your hot tub.

Day 4

Cross-Country Skiing and Sauna Rituals

Enjoy a traditional breakfast before heading into the snowy landscape for a cross-country skiing tour. Using authentic wooden skis, you’ll follow scenic trails through quiet forests and across frozen lakes, guided by an expert. Back at Logger’s Lodge, relax in the wood-fired sauna, designed with starry lighting and panoramic views, or unwind in the outdoor hot tub. The evening brings another gourmet dinner, followed by quiet stargazing from your cabin or another chance to glimpse the Northern Lights.

Day 5

Storforsen Rapids and Outdoor Fire Lunch

Today’s excursion takes you to Storforsen Nature Reserve, home to Northern Europe’s most powerful free-flowing rapids. Even in the depths of winter, the river surges dramatically through the ice. Walkways provide scenic views, and your guide will prepare a warm outdoor lunch by the fire. This is a chance to experience Sweden’s wild side at its most impressive. Return to Logger’s Lodge to relax with a massage or sauna session before enjoying your final dinner at this stunning private retreat.

Day 6

Dog Sledding to Fjellborg Arctic Lodge

After breakfast, travel north to Kiruna where you’ll meet your team of huskies and learn the basics of dog sledding. Then, drive your own sled through the Arctic wilderness to Fjellborg Arctic Lodge, located on the shores of frozen Lake Väkkärä. Settle into your private Master Cabin, complete with a sauna and hot tub overlooking the lake. Enjoy a warm drink by the fire and a gourmet meal in the main lodge. This leg of your journey begins with a thrilling entrance and ends with total comfort.

Day 7

Arctic Trails and Wilderness Lunch

Wake to breakfast prepared by your private chef, then return to the trails for another husky sledding adventure. Today’s destination is a remote wilderness hut where you’ll enjoy a rustic lunch cooked over an open fire. This 3–4 hour excursion is a true immersion into the rhythm of Arctic life. Afterward, return to the lodge for rest, relaxation, and another delicious dinner crafted from local, seasonal ingredients.

Day 8

Sámi Culture and Snowmobile Safari

Begin the day with a snowshoe trek, stopping for homemade snacks and hot cocoa. Then receive full instruction before heading out on snowmobiles toward a Sámi reindeer camp. There, you’ll meet local reindeer herders, try your hand at lassoing, and even take a turn on a reindeer sled. A traditional Sámi lunch in a Goahti tent rounds out this cultural encounter. Return to Fjellborg for a final sauna session and your chef’s culinary highlight of the trip.

Day 9

Ice Sculpting and ICEHOTEL Farewell

On your final morning, an expert ice sculptor will guide you through carving your own creation using crystal-clear ice blocks from the Torne River. Afterward, ride snowmobiles to the world-famous ICEHOTEL for a behind-the-scenes guided tour and lunch. Admire large-scale ice installations and discover the magic of this iconic Arctic destination. From here, continue to the airport for your journey home, taking unforgettable memories with you.

I designed this itinerary to combine all my favourite elements of Sweden with the comfort and elegance of a luxury escape. It begins in Stockholm at the Grand Hotel, where you can explore Gamla Stan and visit the fascinating Vasa Museum before returning to the serene spa to relax. Next is Logger’s Lodge, a secluded designer cabin in the forest, perfect for reading by the fire, soaking in the hot tub under the stars, and enjoying gourmet dinners. The adventure continues with dog sledding, snowshoeing, reindeer sled rides, and snowmobiling to a Sámi camp, all rooted in authentic culture. It ends with ice sculpting and a private tour of the iconic ICEHOTEL, with every detail tailored for comfort, service, and memorable experiences. And, of course, the secluded locations of the accommodation in the North give you ample opportunity to search for the aurora, a truly magical experience no matter how many times you have seen them before.
