Day 1

Arctic Arrival Beneath Saana Fell

Arrive at Tromsø Airport where a private transfer takes you through spectacular Arctic scenery towards the Finnish border and the remote village of Kilpisjärvi. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and vast open skies, you arrive at Cahkal Boutique Hotel, beautifully positioned beneath Saana Fell.

After settling into your spacious Suite, take time to absorb the tranquillity of this wilderness setting. Your stay is on a full board basis, with refined northern dishes served at the hotel’s Aika Restaurant. Later, enjoy your included private sauna session, embracing an essential part of Finnish culture while gazing out across the fells.

Day 2

Sámi Culture and Northern Lights Adventure

After breakfast, visit a local reindeer farm for a two hour cultural experience. Meet the reindeer and gain insight into the traditions of the Indigenous Sámi people, whose heritage is deeply connected to this landscape. The afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore the surroundings. As evening falls, set out on a guided wilderness hike in search of the Northern Lights. With favourable climatic conditions in this region, you may witness the aurora dancing across the Arctic sky. Warm drinks and snacks are served during your hike.

Day 3

The Three Country Cairn Experience

Today travel by scenic boat across the lake to Koltalahti before setting off on a guided three kilometre hike through glowing Arctic tundra. Reach the Three Country Cairn, where Finland, Sweden and Norway meet, and step between three countries in moments. Return by boat to Kilpisjärvi.
