Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in the Lofoten Islands

Guests arrive at Svolvær Airport and are privately transferred to Svinøya Rorbuer, a collection of traditional fisherman’s cabins set over the water in the heart of the Lofoten Islands. After check in, there is time to settle in and take in the surrounding mountain and sea views. In the evening, a table is reserved at a local restaurant on Svinøya, allowing guests to enjoy their first taste of northern Norwegian cuisine at leisure.

Day 2

Sea Eagles and Arctic Landscapes

After breakfast, guests set out on a thrilling sea eagle safari to Trollfjorden. Travelling by RIB boat, the journey passes dramatic cliffs and remote waterways where sea eagles soar overhead. The afternoon is free to explore Svolvær independently, with optional hikes and coastal walks easily accessible from the village. This balance of adventure and flexibility allows families to explore at their own pace.

Day 3

Scenic Roads to Historic Nusfjord

Following breakfast, a private guided road trip winds through the most photogenic parts of the Lofoten Islands, travelling south towards Reine. Along the way, guests enjoy panoramic viewpoints, fishing villages and Arctic beaches before arriving at the preserved fishing village of Nusfjord. After check in to the harbour cabin suite, there is time to relax and enjoy the Arctic wellness facilities. A three course dinner is included in the evening.

Day 4

Mountains and Kayaks in Nusfjord

The day begins with a guided mountain hike adapted to the family’s preferences, offering sweeping views over fjords and peaks. A packed lunch is included. In the afternoon, guests take to the water on a private guided kayaking tour, paddling through calm fjords and secluded coves. The day concludes with another three course dinner, rounding off an active and rewarding day.

Day 5

Fishing Traditions and Coastal Life

After breakfast, guests join a traditional fishing trip, learning about the rich maritime heritage of the Lofoten Islands while trying their hand at fishing in scenic surroundings. The afternoon is left free for relaxation, exploration or further use of the Arctic wellness facilities. Dinner is included at the resort. Overnight at Cabin Suite Harbour, Nusfjord Village and Resort.

Day 6

From Islands to Fjords

The journey continues with a private transfer to Moskenes, followed by an express boat south to Bodø. After onward travel to Ålesund, guests collect their rental car and self drive through dramatic fjord scenery to the historic Hotel Union Øye in Norangsdalen. Check in is followed by a three course dinner in the conservatory.

Day 7

Norangsdalen by E-Bike and Sauna

After breakfast, guests enjoy a private e bike experience through the lush Norangsdalen valley, passing waterfalls, mountain farms and serene lakes. Lunch is served at Union Øye before an afternoon fjord sauna session, floating on the water beneath towering peaks. The evening features a three course dinner in the historic dining room and traditional storytelling in the lounge.

Day 8

Cruising the Hjørundfjord

A private half day fjord cruise takes guests deep into the Hjørundfjord, one of Norway’s most dramatic and least visited fjords. Back at Union Øye, the afternoon is free for walking, relaxing or enjoying the hotel’s historic spaces. A signature nine course dinner is served in the conservatory, followed by evening storytelling.

Day 9

To Aurland and the Heart of Fjord Norway

After breakfast, guests self drive to Aurland, with optional scenic stops en route such as the Loen Skylift. On arrival at Aurland 292, check in is followed by a three course dinner featuring local ingredients from the fjord and surrounding farms.

Day 10

Zip-lining and Cycling Adventures

Today features a full day bike and zipline experience in the Flåm area. Guests travel by train to the mountains, soar above the valley on Scandinavia’s longest zipline, then cycle historic routes back towards the fjord. Afternoon tea is enjoyed back at Aurland, followed by dinner at the farm restaurant.

Day 11

Leisure and Fjord Sauna

A more relaxed day allows time to explore the Aurland area independently, with optional hikes or cycling. In the afternoon, guests enjoy another private fjord sauna experience, combining heat, cold water and spectacular scenery. Dinner is included at the property.

Day 12

To Bergen

After breakfast, guests self drive to Bergen and check in at the centrally located Opus XVI hotel. The afternoon and evening are free to explore the historic harbour area, fish market and surrounding streets. Dinner is at your leisure.

Day 13

Bergen Culture and History

A private guided city tour introduces Bergen’s highlights, including Rosenkrantz Tower, Mount Fløyen and the Magic Ice Bar. The afternoon is free for further exploration or relaxation before the final night in the city.

Day 14

Departure

After breakfast, guests drive to Bergen Airport to return the rental car and depart Norway.
