Arrival in Kiruna and Dog Sled Journey to Fjellborg Arctic Lodge

On arrival at Kiruna Airport, you are welcomed by your host and transferred to the Fjellborg Homestead by the Torne River. A private lounge awaits, where you enjoy a light meal and are fitted with high quality Arctic clothing. After detailed instruction, you set out by dog sled, either driving your own team or riding with a guide, travelling deep into the wilderness to Fjellborg Arctic Lodge. Fires and a warm welcome greet you on arrival before settling into the exclusive Master Cabin. The evening is spent relaxing in the sauna and outdoor hot tub overlooking Lake Väkkärä, followed by a chef prepared dinner in the main lodge.

Day 2

Ice Fishing and Wilderness Dog Sledding

After breakfast prepared by your private chef, you head out onto the frozen lake for ice fishing, equipped with reindeer hides and traditional tools. Later, you learn more about sled dogs and mushing before setting off again by dog sled, travelling through forest trails to a remote wilderness hut. Lunch is enjoyed over an open fire before returning to the lodge. The afternoon is dedicated to relaxation, with sauna, hot tub, hors d’oeuvres, and drinks awaiting your return. Dinner is served once more by your chef, rounding off a deeply immersive Arctic day.

Day 3

Snowshoeing and Sámi Culture

After breakfast, you set out on a guided snowshoe trek, enjoying homemade snacks and hot cocoa along the way. Later, you receive instruction on operating a snowmobile before heading into the wilderness on a safari to an indigenous Sámi camp. Here, you learn about reindeer herding traditions, try lasso throwing, feed reindeer, and experience reindeer sledding. A traditional Sámi lunch is served in a Goahti tent. Returning to the lodge, the afternoon offers time to unwind in the sauna before enjoying the culinary highlight of the evening, prepared by your chef.

Day 4

Ice Sculpting and ICEHOTEL

After breakfast, a professional ice artist introduces you to the craft of ice sculpting using freshly harvested ice from the Torne River. No previous experience is required, making this a creative and memorable experience. After lunch, you prepare for departure and travel by snowmobile back to the Fjellborg Homestead, where you change before a short transfer to ICEHOTEL. On arrival, you meet your personal welcome host, enjoy a private guided tour of the ICEHOTEL, and sip a drink at the ice bar. The evening features a four course Ice Menu dinner before settling into your cold suite, with access to private sauna facilities and Northern Lights viewing opportunities.
