Exploring Oslo

Today begins with breakfast followed by a private transfer to Oslo train station where you will board the Bergensbanen railway. Comfortable Plus class seating ensures a relaxed experience as you take in the changing landscapes over the six to seven hour journey. Day 6

Viking Village and Aurland

After breakfast, you will check out and take a private transfer to Gudvangen while your luggage continues separately to Aurland. On arrival, you will visit the Viking Village where children can dress in costume, learn crafts, try archery and explore reconstructed longhouses. After some free time for lunch, you will board the electric ferry for the UNESCO listed Naeroyfjord cruise, a serene journey through towering cliffs and waterfalls. On arrival in Flam, a private transfer will take you to the beautifully restored 292 Aurland. Dinner is included and the Grandfather Suite provides a charming and characterful base for the next two nights.

Day 7

Pasture Farm Hike

Following breakfast, you will set off on a private guided pasture farm hike. This scenic route leads through UNESCO protected landscapes towards a traditional farm where an authentic local lunch awaits. Dishes may include farm made cheeses, Norwegian lefse and homemade apple juice. After lunch, there is time to relax in the gardens at 292 Aurland, meet the animals and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Dinner is included in the evening. Day 8

Flåm Railway and Bestebakken

After breakfast you will transfer to Flåm to board the iconic Flåm Railway. This steep and scenic journey passes waterfalls, deep valleys and dramatic mountain tunnels. Returning to Flam around midday, you will collect your luggage and continue with a private transfer to Bestebakken, with a stop in Laerdal and the option of visiting the family friendly Motorikk Park.
