Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Levi and Welcome to The Fell

Your Arctic adventure begins with a private transfer from Kittilä Airport to your exclusive family chalet, The Fell. Nestled in a peaceful woodland setting just outside Levi, this beautifully crafted lodge is a true winter sanctuary. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by your private host and shown around your home-from-home, complete with wood-burning fireplace, cosy living areas, sauna, and steaming outdoor hot tub overlooking the snowy landscape.

Friendly reindeer roam freely around the estate, offering children their first magical encounter. As the sun sets, head to the crackling fire inside the traditional Lappish Hut, where hot chocolate and marshmallows await. It’s the perfect spot for your first glimpse of the Northern Lights. Later, enjoy a welcome dinner prepared by your host and settle in for a restful first evening. Whether reading by the fire, soaking in the hot tub, or simply enjoying the stillness, this is the start of something unforgettable.

Day 2

Husky Sledding Adventure and Village Dining

After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time for one of Lapland’s most iconic winter experiences — husky sledding. Travel to a nearby family-run husky farm where the friendly team will introduce you to your eager team of dogs. After a safety briefing and sled-driving tutorial, set off through the powdery forest trails and over frozen lakes, taking turns to mush and ride. The excitement of gliding silently through the snowy wilderness is something the whole family will remember forever.

Along the route, stop for a traditional fika — warming juice and local snacks by a campfire. After your return to the lodge, the afternoon is free to relax. Children can play outside in the snow or meet the reindeer, while adults may prefer to warm up in the sauna or enjoy a coffee by the fire. In the evening, head into Levi for dinner at Stefan’s Steakhouse — a relaxed and welcoming restaurant popular with locals and visitors alike.

Day 3

Snowmobiling, Arctic Village and Fireside Dinner

This morning begins with an exciting snowmobile safari tailored for families. Adults can ride solo or with a child seated behind, while younger children travel in a comfortable sleigh pulled by the guide’s machine. Cruise across frozen rivers, weave through snow-covered forests and take in the wide-open spaces of the Arctic wilderness. Your guide will stop at scenic points to share stories about the local wildlife and culture, as well as offer warm drinks.

Return to Levi village in time for lunch and a bit of time to explore. Whether you choose souvenir shopping, an artisan bakery or a cosy café, Levi offers a wonderful mix of charm and convenience. Later, head back to the lodge to refresh before an enchanting evening. Dinner tonight is served in the Lappish Hut — a fireside feast of traditional local cuisine under timber beams and candlelight. With clear skies, you may even spot the Aurora overhead.

Day 4

Ice Karting or Horse Riding and Leisure Time

After breakfast, choose your adventure for the morning. For the adrenaline seekers, ice karting is a thrilling way to experience the Arctic in a new light. Race against each other on a professionally prepared frozen track, drifting around corners and laughing all the way. Alternatively, opt for a slower pace with a peaceful horse ride through snowy woodland trails. Led by local guides, this activity allows families to reconnect with nature and soak in the stillness of the Lappish landscape. Once back at the lodge, enjoy a warming lunch and a relaxed afternoon.

You might spend time in the sauna, head outside for tobogganing, or simply enjoy a peaceful hour reading by the fire. In the evening, return to Levi for a lively seafood dinner at the King Crab House, a fun and flavourful restaurant offering both local and international favourites, ensuring there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Day 5

Skiing on the Slopes of Levi

Today is all about downhill fun on the snow-covered slopes of Levi. Finland’s premier ski resort offers runs for all skill levels, from gentle beginner areas and magic carpets for younger skiers to more advanced pistes for the adventurous. Collect your rental equipment and head up the mountain to enjoy stunning views and well-groomed trails. Levi Kids’ Land is ideal for children, with friendly instructors and safe learning zones. Parents can ski nearby or relax in one of the atmospheric slope-side cafés.

After a satisfying morning on the snow, gather for lunch in a mountain restaurant with steaming bowls of soup, sandwiches and hot chocolate on offer. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for some down time, whether that means a nap, a sauna session or snow play. Dinner tonight is a cosy affair at the lodge with your very own raclette grill — melt cheese, toast potatoes and share stories from the slopes around the table.

Day 6

Journey to Helsinki and Check In at Hotel Kämp

After breakfast and a warm farewell from your hosts at The Fell, your private transfer returns you to Kittilä Airport for your short flight south to Finland’s capital (flights not included). Upon arrival in Helsinki, another private transfer will whisk you across the city to the elegant Hotel Kämp. Steeped in history and located in the very heart of Helsinki, this five-star hotel offers timeless luxury, with adjoining Executive Rooms reserved for your family’s comfort.

Take time to unwind, perhaps with a visit to the spa or a short walk around the local design boutiques and festive squares. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Hotel staff are on hand to recommend restaurants or make reservations should you wish to dine out in the evening. After the remote quiet of the north, the buzz of Helsinki offers the perfect contrast, stylish, cultural and brimming with personality.

Day 7

Private Guided Tour of Helsinki

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at Hotel Kämp before meeting your private guide for a tour of Helsinki’s cultural highlights. Depending on the season and your preferences, you may choose a walking itinerary, a comfortable driving tour, or a combination of both. Visit Senate Square and the magnificent Helsinki Cathedral, wander through the Design District or explore the indoor market halls packed with local delicacies and handcrafts.

Your guide will offer fascinating insights into the city’s history, architecture and daily life, tailoring the pace to suit the whole family. Pause for a café stop or browse the shops as you go. The afternoon is free to explore further or rest at the hotel. For dinner, Helsinki offers a wealth of options, from Michelin-starred dining to relaxed bistros and international favourites. Your hotel concierge will be happy to arrange a table or recommend the perfect spot for your final evening in Finland.

Day 8

This morning, enjoy a final breakfast in your luxurious surroundings before checking out of Hotel Kämp. Your private transfer will collect you in good time for your flight, ensuring a smooth and stress-free departure.
