Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival and Arctic Welcome

Arrive at Luleå Airport, where a private driver will collect you for the scenic journey into the forested wilds of Swedish Lapland. Your destination is Arctic Retreat, a collection of cosy log cabins set along a frozen river. Once settled in, you may choose to unwind in your private hot tub, warm up in the traditional sauna, or simply absorb the peaceful surroundings. In the evening, enjoy your first dinner made with local ingredients, a quiet, flavoursome introduction to Lapland’s culinary soul.

Day 2

Wilderness Skills, Fishing and Aurora Possibilities

The day begins with a guided introduction to Nordic wilderness survival. Learn how to build a fire, navigate using natural signs, and understand what it takes to live in harmony with the elements. After lunch, venture out on a guided fishing experience where you may catch Arctic char, pike or perch depending on the season.

Return to the retreat to enjoy a fish-focused menu prepared using regional techniques and ingredients. After dinner, conditions permitting, your guide will accompany you on a Northern Lights outing for a chance to witness the aurora in a quiet and private setting.

Day 3

Foraging and Forest Feasting

Join local expert Eva Gunnare for a Culinary Nature Fika Tour. This guided foraging walk introduces you to the edible wonders of the forest, from wild berries to seasonal herbs. Along the way, you’ll enjoy tastings and hear stories rooted in the Sámi and Swedish food cultures. In the evening, enjoy your final dinner at Arctic Retreat, served at the Aurora Lookout, a special setting where traditional Lapland flavours meet the quiet beauty of the night sky. If you are lucky, the aurora may once again appear above the trees as you dine

Day 4

Farewell to Lapland

Savour a final breakfast at Arctic Retreat before your private transfer returns you to Luleå Airport. Take with you not only new culinary skills and stories, but a deeper connection to the wild north.
