Day 1

Arrival in Iceland and Blue Lagoon

On arrival in Iceland, you are met by your private guide and driver and begin your journey through the Reykjanes Peninsula. Your first experience is a visit to the Blue Lagoon, where you have time to relax in the warm geothermal waters with the Comfort Package included. After soaking in the mineral rich pools, you continue to Reykjavik and check in to The Alda Hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Iceland’s capital at your own pace. You may choose to stroll along the harbour, browse local shops, visit a museum, or enjoy dinner at one of the city’s many acclaimed restaurants. You spend the night in Reykjavik.

Day 2

Golden Circle and Silfra

After breakfast, you depart on a private Golden Circle tour combined with a snorkelling experience at Silfra. You begin at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site of major historical and geological importance, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet. You then take part in a guided snorkelling experience in Silfra’s glacial waters, famed for their exceptional clarity. Lunch is served at Friðheimar tomato farm, where geothermal energy supports year round cultivation. In the afternoon, you visit the Geysir geothermal area and the impressive Gullfoss waterfall before travelling south to your hotel, ideally positioned for Northern Lights viewing.

Day 3

Icelandic Highlands Adventure

After breakfast, you set out on a shared Super Jeep tour into the remote highlands of Þórsmörk. Travelling in a specially adapted vehicle allows access to rugged terrain, river crossings, and otherwise unreachable locations. Throughout the day, your guide shares insights into Iceland’s geology, glaciers, and volcanic history, with stops for short walks and panoramic viewpoints where conditions allow. The landscapes are dramatic and constantly changing, offering a true sense of Iceland’s wild interior. A packed lunch is included during the excursion. In the evening, you return to your hotel in South Iceland, where dark skies provide ideal conditions for Northern Lights sightings.

Day 4

South Coast and Katla Ice Cave

After breakfast, you depart on a private South Coast tour combined with a guided ice cave experience. You visit Seljalandsfoss, where water plunges from a tall cliff and conditions may allow you to walk behind the cascade. You continue to Skógafoss, one of Iceland’s most powerful waterfalls, before stopping at Reynisfjara, the striking black sand beach framed by basalt columns and crashing waves. Later in the day, you join a guided ice cave tour near Katla volcano, entering a naturally formed cave within the glacier to explore its vivid colours and sculpted ice formations. You return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 5

Departure from Iceland

After breakfast, you check out of your hotel and meet your private driver for the transfer back to the airport. Depending on flight timings, there may be an opportunity for light sightseeing around the Reykjanes Peninsula, offering a final glimpse of Iceland’s volcanic landscapes before your onward journey home.
