Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Stockholm and a Grand Waterfront Welcome

You will arrive in Stockholm and be met at the airport by your private driver for a smooth transfer into the city. As you travel towards the centre, Stockholm reveals itself as a capital shaped by water, elegant architecture and understated sophistication. Your arrival is at the iconic Grand Hôtel, perfectly positioned on the waterfront opposite the Royal Palace and the historic streets of Gamla Stan. You will check into a Superior Room with harbour views, offering generous space, classic design and a peaceful retreat after your journey.

The remainder of the day is left intentionally open, allowing you to unwind at your own pace. You may choose to take a gentle stroll along the quay, explore the nearby Old Town or simply settle into your surroundings. Alternatively, you may wish to begin your journey with relaxation at the Grand Hôtel spa, where pools, sauna and tranquil spaces offer a calm introduction to Sweden.

Dinner is at leisure this evening, giving you the freedom to dine where you wish. Stockholm’s restaurant scene is celebrated for its focus on seasonal Nordic ingredients and refined simplicity, making this an ideal opportunity to ease into local cuisine.

Day 2

Nordic Flavours and Stockholm at Leisure

After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your private guide for a Nordic Experience food tour. Exploring Södermalm, Stockholm’s most creative and culinary focused district, you will be introduced to both classic and modern Swedish flavours. Tastings include local specialities such as pickled herring, cured salmon, cheeses and regional delicacies, accompanied by stories that reveal how food traditions and sustainability shape Nordic cuisine today.

Following the tour, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. You may choose to visit one of Stockholm’s renowned museums, take a boat journey through the city’s waterways or browse independent boutiques and galleries. If relaxation is your priority, you can return to the Grand Hôtel spa, where complimentary access allows you to unwind in pools and sauna areas overlooking the water.

This evening is again at leisure, allowing you to explore Stockholm’s dining scene at your own pace. With long summer evenings and a relaxed atmosphere, the city feels vibrant yet unhurried.

Day 3

From City Sophistication to Arctic Wilderness

After breakfast, you will be transferred privately to Stockholm Airport for your flight north to Lapland. Upon arrival at Luleå Airport, a private transfer takes you through forested landscapes and along rivers towards the remote Arctic Bath near Harads. The transition from urban elegance to untouched wilderness is immediate and striking.

You will check into a Suite Cabin, elevated among the trees and designed with minimalist Scandinavian style. Natural materials, expansive windows and a private deck create a strong connection to the surrounding environment. After settling in, you are free to enjoy the Arctic Bath spa, where hot and cold baths, sauna and relaxation spaces are inspired by traditional Nordic wellness rituals.

In the evening, a carefully prepared three course dinner showcases seasonal Arctic ingredients and refined northern flavours. As night approaches, you will have the chance to experience the Midnight Sun, with soft golden light lingering across the river and landscape well into the night.

Day 4

Walking through forest and along riverbanks, your guide shares insight into local wildlife, plant life and the rhythms of daily life in Swedish Lapland. The pace is gentle and immersive, encouraging a deeper appreciation of the natural surroundings.

You will return to Arctic Bath for lunch before an afternoon dedicated to cultural heritage. The traditional Northern bread baking experience takes place in a historic baking house, where families have gathered for generations. You will learn about the origins and cultural significance of this iconic bread before rolling, baking and enjoying your own creation fresh from the oven with local accompaniments.

The remainder of the day is reserved for relaxation. You may return to the spa, unwind on your private deck or simply enjoy the stillness of the river and forest. In the evening, a three course dinner is served, highlighting regional flavours and Nordic culinary traditions.

Day 5

The tour concludes indoors with tastings of herbal teas, cakes and treats prepared using foraged ingredients. Lunch is then enjoyed back at Arctic Bath, followed by a free afternoon to rest and reflect. Spa facilities remain available, offering another opportunity to enjoy Nordic bathing rituals.
