Your room in the wild
Aurora Safari Camp is one of it’s kind in northern scandinavia. Founded and owned by Photographer Fredrik Broman. The camp is situated by the Råne River, in Swedish Lapland. There is no artificial light at all to be seen from the camp that disturbes your chances to see Aurora, and if we have clear skies the stargazing is just fantastic. Milkyway is right above our heads.
Here in the heart of Swedish Lapland, in the middle of the untouched wilderness you will find the Aurora Safari Camp. It is by no means ‘camping’ however it is an authentic outdoor overnight experience. You can’t expect running water but you can expect the most magical experience of how it feels to immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
The camp consists of 3 comfortable Lavvu Rooms that can be set up as double, twin or family rooms. There is a firewood heater in each Lavvu, and even if very low outside temperatures, your room is warm on the inside. The washroom is situated between 20-75 meters from the Lavvus. In the lounge you can have a drink by the fireplace or fine dining can be arranged for up to 14 people. By the open fireplace outside there is a magnificent view over the river.
There is a sauna – It’s on a float that is frozen into the ice of the river and is a great place to spend the evening nice and warm whilst stargazing and looking out for the Aurora. It is also perfect for nature lovers too. The camp is in the heart of the forest that sits at the bottom of the surrounding mountains and there are lots of moose, red fox, reindeer, roe deer and birds.
The camp will be booked only for you, your friends and/or family on private basis and your guides and personal hosts are there to take care of you and keep you comfortable at all times.
