Your room in the wild
BRAND NEW FOR 2021/2022 – CONE ROOMS at the brand new camp!
The Aurora Safari Camp has undergone an even better upgrade for this year! Now in addition to the beautiful 3 original-style lavvu tents there are now two hexaganol ‘Cone Rooms’ that have a glass roof and windows towards the North. Each cone room is comfortably furnished with a double/single/twin beds (complete with arctic duvets, extra blankets and sleeping bags) depending on preference, side tables and chairs and a firewood burner to keep warm. Each lavvu can sleep up to 4 people and cones sleep up to 2 people.
The washroom is situated between 20-75 meters from the Lavvus. In the lounge you can have a drink by the fireplace or fine dining can be arranged for up to 14 people. By the open fireplace outside there is a magnificent view over the river.
Aurora Safari Camp is one of it’s kind in northern scandinavia. Founded and owned by Photographer Fredrik Broman. The camp is situated by the Råne River, in Swedish Lapland. There is no artificial light at all to be seen from the camp that disturbes your chances to see Aurora, and if we have clear skies the stargazing is just fantastic. Milkyway is right above our heads.
Here in the heart of Swedish Lapland, in the middle of the untouched wilderness you will find the Aurora Safari Camp. It is by no means ‘camping’ however it is an authentic outdoor overnight experience. You can’t expect running water but you can expect the most magical experience of how it feels to immerse yourself in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
There is a sauna – It’s on a float that is frozen into the ice of the river and is a great place to spend the evening nice and warm whilst stargazing and looking out for the Aurora. It is also perfect for nature lovers too. The camp is in the heart of the forest that sits at the bottom of the surrounding mountains and there are lots of moose, red fox, reindeer, roe deer and birds.
The camp will be booked only for you, your friends and/or family on private basis and your guides and personal hosts are there to take care of you and keep you comfortable at all times.
