A Swedish Summer Adventure

A Swedish Summer offers a slow and immersive way to experience the best of Sweden’s cities, lakes, and forests. Thoughtfully planned for six nights, it takes you from Stockholm’s historic waterfront to the secluded wilderness of Swedish Lapland, combining high-end accommodation, curated experiences, and authentic local flavour.

Your journey begins in Stockholm, staying in a beautifully renovated Deluxe King Room at the waterfront Hotel Reisen. From here, explore the lush island of Djurgården on a privately guided bike tour, gliding past the Vasa Museum, canals and hidden royal gardens. Take a ferry out to Vaxholm, where you’ll bake cinnamon buns in a garden greenhouse before wandering the town’s colourful streets.

From the city, fly north to Floating Safari Camp, an exclusive floating camp with private sauna, wood-fired hot tub, and full-board dining. Paddle on the river, relax on deck, and join a local forager for a guided walk filled with forest flavours, herbs, berries, and wild teas.

Continue to the Treehotel, where your stylish “Blue Cone” treehouse offers panoramic views of the forest. Stop en route to experience the mighty Storforsen Rapids and enjoy an outdoor lunch in the nature reserve. Your final evening includes a Gastronomic Tasting Experience, featuring seasonal Arctic ingredients, a reflection of the land you’ve explored.

With every detail arranged, from private transfers to curated meals, this trip is an invitation to switch off and savour the Swedish summer. It’s ideal for those seeking luxury, meaningful encounters, and a real connection to the outdoors.

This carefully curated six-night summer escape blends Swedish city life, natural adventure, and stylish design in equal measure. Beginning in Stockholm, explore the elegant archipelago by bike and ferry, with guided tours, cinnamon bun baking, and time to relax along waterfront cafés and leafy parks. You’ll then journey north to Swedish Lapland, where wilderness awaits at the secluded Floating Safari Camp. Enjoy private sauna sessions, kayaking, and a flavourful foraging walk with a local guide.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Stockholm

Arriving into Stockholm Arlanda Airport, you’ll be welcomed with a personalised meet and greet before a private transfer brings you to the elegant Hotel Reisen, set in the city’s charming Old Town. In your Deluxe King Room overlooking the Baltic Sea, you’ll find a thoughtful arrival gift of flowers and pralines. Settle in and enjoy the warm evening light with great views across the harbour.

While the rest of the day is at leisure, your travel concierge can arrange dinner reservations or make recommendations. Take a walk along the harbourfront or up through Gamla Stan’s cobbled streets to witness parades, flag-waving locals, and potentially a royal appearance. Be mindful of adjusted shop and restaurant hours due to the national holiday. Your first evening offers a soft landing into Swedish culture, refined, elegant, and full of summer warmth.

Day 2

Djurgården by Bike and Free Afternoon in the Museums

After breakfast, set off on a private three-hour cycling tour of Djurgården, Stockholm’s royal parkland and green oasis. Led by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll pedal through shaded trails, past meadows and iconic landmarks like Skansen and the Vasa Museum, uncovering secret corners only locals know. The ride also includes a stop in Djurgårdsstaden, a quiet 18th-century village hidden behind Gröna Lund. After your ride, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore, perhaps visiting the ABBA Museum, taking a boat ride, or strolling back to your hotel via the stylish shops of Östermalm. Enjoy a quiet dinner, either at the hotel or a waterfront bistro, or make use of the relaxing spa at the hotel.

Day 3

Cinnamon Bun Baking and Island Life in Vaxholm

This morning, travel by public ferry (or optional private transfer) to the charming island town of Vaxholm, gateway to the Stockholm archipelago. Here, enjoy a private cinnamon bun baking workshop in a cosy greenhouse, learning the art of crafting Sweden’s most beloved fika treat. As your buns bake, sit down for a light lunch and coffee in the garden. Afterwards, stroll through Vaxholm’s vibrant streets, lined with boutiques, pastel houses, and marina cafés, before returning to Stockholm by ferry. It’s a day that captures the relaxed charm of summer island life just outside the capital.

Day 4

Journey North to Swedish Lapland

After breakfast, a private transfer returns you to Stockholm Airport for your flight north (not included) to Luleå in Swedish Lapland. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to the extraordinary Aurora Safari Camp, followed by a private boat transfer to your floating accommodation. The setting is remote, peaceful and beautiful. Settle into your stylish accommodation and enjoy an evening of sauna, starlight, and a chef-prepared dinner under the open sky. Paddle boards and kayaks are at your disposal should you wish to explore the water before turning in for the night.

Day 5

Foraging and Relaxation on the River

Wake to the sounds of nature and enjoy a slow morning exploring the water by canoe, kayak, or paddle board, all available on site. Later, you’ll meet local forager Eva Gunnare for a guided Foraging Flavour Walk, discovering herbs, berries, and seasonal tastes of the forest. After your walk, enjoy a herbal fika with fresh teas and Eva’s homemade bites. Return to the float for dinner and a final night of sauna and stillness.

Day 6

Storforsen and the Treehotel Experience

Today you’ll journey inland to one of Sweden’s natural wonders: the Storforsen Rapids. These are Europe’s largest unregulated rapids, set in a tranquil forest reserve. A private guide will accompany you, including a riverside lunch cooked outdoors. Afterward, continue to Treehotel, where you’ll check into the stunning Blue Cone, a treetop hideaway with floor-to-ceiling views. This evening features a Gastronomic Tasting Menu, celebrating ingredients from the Arctic forest and coastal waters. A fitting end to an extraordinary journey.

Day 7

Departure from Luleå

After breakfast at the Treehotel, your private transfer will take you to Luleå Airport, concluding your unforgettable Swedish summer adventure.
