Forage, fire and feast
Head out on this foraging tour and share a wild food based lunch cooked over a fire in a private Lapland-style hut, beside a lake and surrounded by the beauty of one of the most famous National Parks in Finland. What could possibly be better!
Your guides will share their knowledge on how to identify edible foods and then you will forage for wild herbs, flowers, nettles, wild blueberries, lingonberries, juniper berries and many varieties of mushrooms.
Once finished, you will then enjoy a meal cooked by the fire using your locally sourced and foraged ingredients. Including local breads, wild mushrooms and nettles, served with a warm spelt and vegetable salad. Followed by delicious warm dark chocolate brownies with Arctic berries. Wild food based drinks are included too; taste the spruce shoot cordial, Arctic berry juice and chaga (mushroom) coffee for dessert! A delicious way to explore this beautiful area.
